Dr Anil Sharma is a Specialist Gynaecologist and Urogynaecologist in Auckland. His expertise lies in the medical and surgical management of women's health problems. Consultations are also undertaken at other Auckland clinics. The practice is managed by Anne Whineray-Smith who is also a trained nurse.

Anil was brought up in London and educated in the UK. He has been a doctor since 1987 after graduating from medical school with degrees in Medicine and Surgery. He was awarded membership of both the UK and Australian & New Zealand Royal Colleges of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists after passing both higher Specialist exams. He also has a diploma in medical law with the main focus being on ethics and patient rights. He is committed to updating his practise and undertakes the Continuing Medical Education Programme of the Royal ANZ College. He also gives many postgraduate lectures to family doctors and nurses about his specialty. Anil enjoys writing regularly for a number of magazines about women's health issues.
Anil was honoured to be made a Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (London) in 2008. This is conferred after sustained contributions to the vocation and maintenance of high standards and practice.
He is married to a GP and their three daughters were all born in New Zealand. His spare time is spent with the family and in the great NZ outdoors.
Anne graduated from the Auckland Hospital Board School of Nursing in 1983 as Registered Nurse. After her OE, over the last 25 years she has managed the practices of various consultant gynaecologists and joined Dr Sharma's practice to develop her skills further.
Anne is passionate about providing patient-centred care. She also has a wide experience with dealing with health insurance companies for our patients.
She is married with 2 (almost grown up) sons. In her spare time she enjoys the gym, reading and gardening.
Dr Neil McIlree studied medicine in Johannesburg, South Africa. He trained and worked in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Medicine at several London teaching hospitals. He has a diverse practice with a special clinical interest in gynaecological, upper gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary sugery as well as acute pain management. He holds current specialist registration with the General Medical Council, UK and the New Zealand Medical Council.
Michele Atkins obtained her medical degree from Leicester University, UK. She then gained experience in a variety of medical specialties before entering anaesthesia in 1996. The majority of her training was in the Yorkshire region, leaving for a year in 2001 to work as a fellow at the cardiac unit at Green Lane Hospital in Auckland. She then returned to the UK to work as a consultant in anaesthesia at the General Infirmary in Leeds. Michele came back to Auckland in 2005 where she now lives with her Kiwi husband and children.
Dr Henry Yong studied medicine at Otago Medical School and trained in anaesthesia in Sydney and Auckland. He is a Fellow of the College of Anaesthetists of Australia and New Zealand. Henry is a Consultant Anaesthetist at Waitemata District Health Board, where he trains and mentors junior anaesthetists. In his spare time, he loves spending time with his wife and two children, playing badminton and practicing yoga.
